Terms and conditions relating to bookings made before 3rd June 2010
easyHotel Terms and Conditions
These terms and conditions apply solely to accommodation and services booked and paid, for hotels operated and branded as an 'easyHotel'. They do not apply to any other hotels booked through our worldwide partner Octopustravel.com - where separate terms and conditions apply.
(a) Your contract is with easyHotel Ltd trading as easyHotel.com. These are the general terms and conditions that apply to your contract with easyHotel.com and are supplemented by the terms and conditions that apply to the specific easyHotel where you have booked to stay (together "the Terms & Conditions"). Please read them carefully as you will be bound by them.
(b) In the Terms & Conditions: "we" or "us" means easyHotel.com (including, where appropriate, our employees, agents, and suppliers and all relevant insurers); "you" means any and all person(s) for whom a hotel room is booked.
(a) All room reservations, amendments, or cancellations must be made on line at www.easyHotel.com.
(b) Full payment for your accommodation must be made at the time of booking. All bookings must be charged to a valid credit or debit card, and will be charged to that card when the booking is made. When you first book with us, you will be registered as a customer of easyHotel.com and you will be required to provide details of a credit or debit card which will form part of your registration. We will open an account in your name and all payments for bookings made by you will be shown as debits to your account. For future bookings, you may either use the registered credit or debit card or another card.
(c) Once your booking has been completed, a confirmation will be issued which you should print. You must present this confirmation on check in at the Hotel.
(d) All bookings are subject to availability.
(e) Your room will be held for your arrival untill 10.00am the morning following the first night of your reservation - after that time the booking will be deemed cancelled.
3. Transfers and cancellations
(a) There will be an administration charge (£10) debited to your account with us if you wish to amend your booking in any way or to cancel your booking after it has been made. If you cancel, your account with us will be re-credited with the amount you have already paid with the administration charge being debited, and the net amount will then be held in your account with us as future payment for other accommodation booked through easyHotel.com. Any credits must be used within one year of the date of amendment or cancellation.
(b) All reservations are taken in good faith. Should we be unable to let the room that you have booked, we will use our best endeavours to find alternative accommodation nearby at a price and standard as close to the easyHotel.com price as possible
(c) In the unlikely event of a room being unavailable for you, we will credit your account with the price you have paid (either in full or on a pro rata basis, whichever is appropriate) without deduction of any administration charge and you will be entitled to book further accommodation with us. You will be responsible for paying all charges at any alternative accomodation offered to you.
(d) All transfers and cancellations must be done on line and completed 24 hours before your arrival - You cannot cancel a reservation on the day of arrival
For multi - night bookings - you cannot cancel on the day of arrival for that day, but you are able to cancel any remaining nights.
When you cancel a booking, a £10 cancellation fee will be charged to your easyHotel account.
The balance will remain as a credit on your easyHotel account, for the next 12 months and in that time can be used to make bookings at other branded easyHotels.
(a) Room prices shown on our website are per room per night and include local taxes, e.g. VAT, at the prevailing rate and are payable in the currency you select.
(b) The price of the room is dependant on the time of booking and the number of rooms available during that period. Room rates may vary by night at the same location.
6. Special requirements
(a) Should you require a room for persons with special requirements or should you have an assistance dog, please let the hotel know at the time of booking. Contact details are provided on the individual hotel pages. When booking a room intended for a disabled person, during the booking process you will be required to confirm that such booking is intended for someone with a disability that precludes him/her from staying in any other room type. If you book a room of this type and the person for which it is intended does not have such a disability, at check-in we reserve the right to charge you any price differential at the prevailing rate, allocate you alternative accommodation or refuse you accommodation and you shall not be entitled to any refund.
(b) Prior to arriving at your easyHotel we suggest that you complete the on line registration form and present this when you check in. This will save you time.
7. Room types
(a) easyHotel.com rooms vary by type and have slight variations. During the booking process, should the one you require not be available, then an alternative will be displayed. Please ensure that your booking reflects your requirement.
(b) All easyHotel.com rooms will be cleaned and have the bed made on your arrival. Should you require housekeeping services during your stay, they are available at a charge. Details are available on individual hotel pages.
8. Luggage Storage
Please check the individual hotel pages for luggage storage facilities and policy.
9. Check in and out times
(a) All easyHotels operate an arrival and check out policy. Please check details of the easyHotel where you have booked to stay on the individual hotel pages.
(a) We reserve the right to charge your credit or debit card for any damage done to your room during your stay.
11. Limitation on liability and law
(a) We are responsible for losses you suffer as a result of easyHotel.com breaching the Terms & Conditions if the losses are a foreseeable consequence of easyHotel.com's breach. Losses are foreseeable where you and/or easyHotel.com could contemplate them at the time our agreement was formed. easyHotel.com is not responsible for indirect losses that are not foreseeable by you or easyHotel.com (such as loss of profits or loss of opportunity).
(b) Whilst we make every effort to ensure that the material contained on the easyHotel.com website is accurate, we do not warrant or represent its accuracy and disclaim to the maximum extent permitted by law all warranties expressed or implied by statute, custom or usage relating to the information contained in the website.
(c) We may retain your credit or debit card details and you consent to us debiting such amounts for which you are responsible as a result of any damage caused to your easyHotel.com room by you during your stay. These amounts may be debited from your card without prior notification.
(d) We shall have no responsibility for any property left in or damaged as a result of being in your easyHotel.com room during your stay.
(e) The laws of England and Wales shall apply to the easyHotel.com website and the Terms & Conditions and court proceedings relating thereto may only be commenced in England and Wales.
12. Data Protection
(a) We will retain all personal information which you provide. We may need to pass this information to other persons such as our franchisees and it may also be provided to security and/or credit checking companies, credit and debit card companies, government and enforcement agencies and public authorities if so required, or as required by law. This may involve sending your personal information between different countries, including countries outside the European Economic Area where controls on data protection may not be as strong as the legal requirements in the UK.
13. Trade marks, etc
(a) The material on the easyHotel.com website is the copyright of easyHotel.com. You may download or use the material on the website for your own non-commercial, private use. Otherwise, the material may not be reproduced, published, distributed, amended, downloaded or otherwise used unless you have obtained easyHotel.com's express permission.
(b) The trade marks used on the easyHotel.com website are owned by easyGroup IP Licensing Limited.
