The Royal Mile and Edinburgh’s Old Town are located on the other side of Princes Street Gardens, also just 15 minutes from your room, or explore nearby Holyrood Palace, the royal residence in Scotland for the British Monarch.
A city popular for festivals, you can often find an event to entertain you from The Edinburgh Fringe and Military Tattoo in August to ringing in the new year with Hogmanay in December. If you’re looking for somewhere a little quieter to experience the offerings of the Scottish capital, catch the 23 or 27 bus to The Royal Botanic Gardens or climb Arthur’s Seat, a now extinct volcano, to take in the view over the city. No visit to Edinburgh is complete without a stopover at the The Scottish Whiskey Experience where you can take tours and participate in masterclasses to learn more about Scotland’s best-known drink.
