Edinburgh is a city steeped in history, centred around a castle that cannot be missed. The Royal Mile and Edinburgh’s Old Town are located on the other side of Princes Street Gardens, also just 15 minutes from your room, or explore nearby Holyrood Palace, the royal residence in Scotland for the British Monarch.
A city popular for festivals, you can often find an event to entertain you from The Edinburgh Fringe and Military Tattoo in August to ringing in the new year with Hogmanay in December. If you’re looking for somewhere a little quieter to experience the offerings of the Scottish capital, catch the 23 or 27 bus to The Royal Botanic Gardens or climb Arthur’s Seat, a now extinct volcano, to take in the view over the city. The nearest airport is Edinburgh Airport, which is only 11km west of the city, but it will take 25–30 minutes to get to the city regardless of whether you go by bus, taxi or hire car.

The Airlink Express bus number 100 costs £4.50 per adult and £7.50 open return. It departs every 30 minutes in the evening and at night, but every 10 minutes during the day.
Edinburgh has two mainline stations, Waverley and Haymarket. The main station is Waverley, located in the city centre, between Edinburgh Old Town and the New Town. Waverley station is a 10-minute walk from the Hotel.
The Edinburgh tram route covers 14km from York Place in the city centre all the way to Edinburgh Airport. It cost £5.00 per adult and £8.00 open return. The closest stop to the easyHotel is on Princes Street. It departs every 20 minutes.
