Accessibility Statement

This statement applies to content published on the digital platforms owned and managed by easyHotel (“easyHotel”), including:

  • https://www.easyhotel.com/ – the primary website and all associated pages and subdomains (“Website”);
  • easyHotel Mobile App – available on iOS and Android platforms (“Mobile App”), (collectively, the “Digital Platforms”).

The Digital Platforms are managed by easyHotel, which is committed to making its Digital Platforms accessible, in accordance with the European Accessibility Act. Our platforms are designed to be inclusive and usable by as many people as possible, including individuals with disabilities.

The Digital Platforms are designed to comply with level ‘AA’ of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.1. (the “WCAG 2.1 Level ‘AA’ guidelines”). Compliance status is regularly assessed against these WCAG 2.1 Level ‘AA’ guidelines.

Accessibility is considered a core aspect of easyHotel’s product and engineering workflows, with regular reviews embedded into the development lifecycle. We regularly audit our digital experience using tools such as Google Lighthouse, Accessibility insights, and Sonarcloud.

Product releases occur regularly and from 1 July 2025 each release will be reviewed to ensure:

  • compatibility with screen readers;
  • full keyboard navigability;
  • accurate and descriptive labelling of interactive elements.

Identified gaps are logged, prioritised, and addressed as part of our regular product updates.

To maintain our accessibility standards, we are committed to conducting a comprehensive annual accessibility audit for both the Website and the Mobile App.

Where third-party components are embedded or integrated in our Digital Platforms (for example, online check-in) we work closely with the relevant suppliers to ensure they are aware of the WCAG 2.1 Level ‘AA’ guidelines. As far as practicable, we support those suppliers in assessing and enhancing the accessibility of their tools to ensure a consistent, inclusive experience across all touchpoints.

Compliance status

The Digital Platforms are compliant with the WCAG 2.1 Level ‘AA’ guidelines subject to our comments in the section ‘Non-accessible content’.

The Website was last tested on 28 June 2025.

The Mobile App was last tested on 28 June 2025.

Preparation of this statement

This statement was prepared on 21 June 2025.

Accessibility testing at easyHotel is conducted through a combination of manual audits and automated scanning, carried out by both our internal digital team and our external product engineering partner, iNimble.

We ran an automated test across the Digital Platforms to detect compliance with the WCAG 2.1 Level ‘AA’ guidelines. The automated tests were completed using tools such as Google Lighthouse, Accessibility Insigths and Sonarcloud to detect accessibility issues across both the Website and the Mobile App. [This was followed by a manual accessibility review of a representative sample of pages and content types and was conducted using assistive technology such as VoiceOver.

Non-accessible content

While we have used our best efforts to ensure the accessibility of the Digital Platforms, we are aware of some limitations, which we are working to remedy. Below is a description of known limitations and potential solutions. Please contact us if you encounter an issue not listed below.

Known limitations for the Digital Platforms:

  1. Navigation and Page Structure: We are aware some users may struggle to navigate, find content, or understand their location within the site due to inconsistent use of headings, labels, and page titles. We are updating all page titles, headings, and labels to be informative, properly structured, and screen reader–friendly. Keyboard navigation is also being enhanced to ensure users can move through the site in a logical and accessible manner. We plan to remedy this by end of July 2025.
  2. Keyboard accessibility: While customers can navigate using a keyboard, the experience is not fully optimised or intuitive. We are implementing improvements to ensure that all interactive elements, including hotel search and selection, are fully accessible via keyboard with clear and visible focus indicators. We plan to remedy this by end of July 2025.
  3. Virtual accessibility: Certain visual elements, such as colour contrast, text sizing, and interface clarity do not fully meet accessibility standards currently. We are reviewing and updating visual presentation site-wide to ensure compliance with contrast, readability, and scalable text requirements. We plan to remedy this by end of July 2025.
